ARTIST STATEMENT

My music video was written by me, melody given by ZooHlub Yaaj. This song was written 2 years ago and I was inspired by all the Chinese dramas I watched. Although the clothing and music is not all representing the hmong culture, there are a lot of Hmong Chinese citizens out there. Some hmong Chinese fans have reached out with compliments and critiques which I love. There’s always room for growing. My goal was to film a music video that was different, and created a storyline that would be a joy for everyone to watch. I hope I was able accomplish this goal.

Adamina Vang (Nplooj Siab Vaj)

My American name is Adamina Vang, and my hmong name is Nplooj Siab Vaj. I’ve been acting and singing for 5 years from 2016-2021. I’ve acted in multiple movies, short films, and music videos. Most of my work is filmed overseas, and I traveled every summer to Thailand to film. Due to the pandemic my work with filming has slowed down, but it gives me more time to work with music and singing. Aside from acting and singing, I’ve also received the title of Miss Hmong Arkansas 2016-2017. My biggest project of my term was traveling to the mounting in Thailand to build a house for a man in need. As of right now I am a full time college student majoring in Biology. I love learning about cultures, and living the life as a Hmong American gives me a great opportunity to explore both worlds. I hope for one day the hmong culture will become more well-known to others.
