About
Marin Lepore is a filmmaker and activist who's grown up between suburban Colorado and the big city of Beijing. As a gay Asian-American woman, Marin is passionate about creating inclusive works that empower marginalized communities – her award-winning, multi-season, comedy webseries "I Put the Bi in Bitter" being one of them. She's the co-founder of the entirely women-led production company Sad Girl Productions, and she previously served as a board member for the non-profit organization Women in Film and Media Colorado. Her work has appeared at festivals across the country including SeriesFest, ClexaCon, and Denver Pop Culture Con. Besides film, Marin enjoys playing violin, loving turtles, eating Chipotle, and juggling (she went to clown camp as a kid. Please ask.).

SAD GIRL PRODUCTIONS is a film production company based in Denver, Colorado. Co-founded in 2018 by Dannah Elizabeth and Marin Lepore, Sad Girl creates diverse and inclusive comedy films. Our goal is to bring empowerment and inspiration to those seldom seen as leads in mainstream media by highlighting women, women of color, and LGBT women - both on screen and behind the scenes.
